"Be fruitful, and multiply...".

Dear Friends: THIS is why you can't believe a bloody thing a bible-thumper tells you!!!!

Here's the question:  "If mankind had actually started with Adam and Eve 6,000 years ago, what would be the maximum population on Earth today?"
By Nunzio Byznez. Well actually you have overlooked a crucial bit of biblical data. Even though Moses tells us in his first book of Genesis about the origin of our species with Adam being created in the year 4026 BCE (6,044-years from present) , there was a planetary mass extinction event in 2370 BCE (The Flood, 4,388-years from present) killing off the entire human population of the Earth EXCEPT for 8 human survivors in upper Mesopotamian Valley (See Genesis 5:32).

So now you have to figure out how 8 people got to 7.6 billion in present day. And you have to do it without a total of 8 humans as 2 of them were past their years for child bearing after already having 3 boys - Noah was 500 years old at the time. So now your number is 6 humans (3 breeding pairs).

Was inbreeding a problem? NO. Why? Because Adam and Eve were created perfect (without flaws). That means that 1,656 years later Noah and his family (the 8 human survivors) were too close to perfection too for inbreeding to be a genetic problem. 6,044 years later inbreeding is a problem big time. So yes there was plenty of inbreeding back then.

Now factor in that each female could breed at say 13-years old until maybe 60 or 70 (or older) back then. Abraham's wife Sarah proved that by having Isaac at 90 years old. A female can bear about 1-2 single birth children per year. Multiple births like twins Jacob and Esau, even more. Mortality was over 950 years old as Noah was a least that. Methuselah died at 969 years old. God reduced mortality from almost 1,000 years old to 70 or 80 years old, which seems to be the same today.

Warfare was not as bad as it is today with huge atomic bombs and machine guns. Most wounds back then were sharp-edged weapons which could be survivable by controlling internal bleeding for superficial wounds. So massive war casualties were not as bad as WW1 or WW2 today. Also the Israelites (of the bible) had a grand metaphysical guardian for their wars (i.e. God) , so death by warfare was not a real issue for them.

So if you know how to track genealogy via a multi-branching family tree you can see how we can get from 6 humans to 7.6 billion humans in just 4,388 years. That's a population yield (with deaths factored in) at 1.7+ million humans produced per year. And polygamy (Solomon had 700 wives) as well as inbreeding (i.e. voluntary incest) was not a big issue as it is today. After so many generations inbreeding becomes issue-less after 3rd or 4th cousins.

We Earthlings have obeyed at least one of God's commands at Genesis 1:28 "Be fruitful, and multiply...".
The way I see it anyway!
