Barry Hampe, 80-something, lifelong atheist from a Christian familyQ. Hypothetical Question: Which of the 3 Abrahamic religions is most likely to be true (accord with reality) if one only one of them was true & why?
As an atheist, as far as I am concerned, none of them is true.
The one most likely to be true is Judaism, because it has stressed thinking and reasoning about its god, rather than just feeling the god and believing.
It is also the one that emphasizes deeds rather than belief.
In my opinion:
- Judaism is a grown-up religion.
- Christianity is an immature religion. Its intellectual content is pitched at a third- or fourth-grade level.
- Islam is a childish religion. Its followers are still having temper tantrums.*
